Coastal decks and water
An elevated residential deck in Neptune Beach, Florida was stripped back and waterproofed with a fluid-applied coating system built for direct coastal exposure.
An elevated deck a few streets from the Atlantic takes salt air, wind-driven rain and constant UV. Where a deck sits over living space, the waterproofing layer is doing the same job a roof does, and it fails in the same places — at the perimeter, at penetrations, and anywhere water is allowed to sit.
The work follows the same sequence as a commercial roof restoration: strip and prepare the substrate, detail the edges and penetrations, then build up a continuous waterproof membrane across the field.

TODO(client): the original page carried project specifics we could not retrieve — the deck area, the exact system specified and the finish selected. Send those over and this section becomes a proper case study rather than an outline.
